S K OVERSEAS HR CONSULTANCY in Abu Dhabi is seeking a QC Inspector specializing in protective coatings for oil & gas, marine, or construction projects. You will perform visual inspections, thickness measurements, and adhesion tests to guarantee compliance with project specifications.
Applicants should hold a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Engineering, ideally with NACE/SSPC Level II certification, and possess 3–5 years of hands-on Gulf coating inspection experience, including ADNOC exposure.
Conduct rigorous visual inspections of coated surfaces to identify defects such as runs, sags, or inconsistencies, ensuring adherence to project specifications.
Perform precise measurements of coating thickness using calibrated gauges, verifying that film builds meet required standards and prevent premature failure.
Execute adhesion tests, including cross-hatch or pull-off tests, to confirm the bond strength between the coating and the substrate, safeguarding against delamination.
Monitor surface preparation activities, such as cleaning and blasting, to ensure optimal conditions for coating application and long-term performance.
Possession of a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical) or a related technical field.
Certification from recognized bodies such as NACE or SSPC (e.g., NACE Level II Coating Inspector) is highly advantageous.
Minimum of 3-5 years of hands‑on experience as a QC Inspector specializing in protective coatings within the oil & gas, marine, or construction sectors.
Proficiency in performing various coating inspection tests (e.g., DFT, adhesion, holiday detection) and interpreting results.
Not eligible: candidates with Metro, Building, or Road Infrastructure experience.
Maximum age limit is 49 years. For managerial positions, the age limit may be extended up to 50 years if the candidate has significant Gulf experience.
A minimum of 5 years of Gulf experience in the relevant field is mandatory.
