The QA/QC Inspector (Civil) is responsible for the quality levels of shop and field works for all civil related activities in the Oil & Gas Industry.
Responsibilities
Develop Quality Procedures with respect to client specifications and standards.
Develop Inspection and Test Plan as per the project requirements.
Participate / Attend in both internal and client meetings.
To represent / coordinate with client for any inspection activities as per the approved ITP.
Coordinate with TPIA and arrange inspections.
Liaise with Laboratories for testing of soil, materials, concrete, etc.
Interpret construction and technical drawings.
Communicate engineering/technical/quality requirement to the team.
Verify that incoming materials meet the requirement.
Inspection at worksites for civil and structure works per the Client specification and international standards, including verification of tests at their premises.
Follow-up on corrective action of non-conforming products.
Prepare and compile inspection reports, non-conformance reports and other quality control.
To be proactive in creating a safe working environment for everyone and ensuring that HSE in-house rules are observed at all times.
To consider HSE aspects when planning and carrying out tasks to eliminate and reduce HSE hazards, aspects and risks.
Desired Candidate Profile
Preferably Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.
Shall have 10 years of relevant industrial experience, including 6 years’ experience in a given inspection specialty, four of which have been in oil and gas or petrochemical industries.
Shall be fully conversant with applicable Industry Standards and Specifications.
Inspector shall demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of recognized building codes such as the Uniform Building Code (UBC) or equivalent standards. He should demonstrate his knowledge in ACI, ASTM and BS standards.
Familiar with piling, ground works and concreting works.
