Job description

Job Title: QC Engineer - Piping

We are seeking a QC Engineer - Piping for our client based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This is an onsite position with the following details:

  • Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE (Onsite)
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Contract Duration: 2 years, possibly renewable
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical Engineering, or a relevant discipline
  • Certifications: ISO 9001, ASNT Level 2, CSWIP 31 or equivalent
  • Preferred: B-Gas Grade 2 certification
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in English
  • CICPA certification required
Responsibilities:
  1. Monitor the implementation of the Quality Plan and procedures related to piping throughout the project.
  2. Review material requisitions and purchase documents related to piping.
  3. Review vendor documents during pre-order and post-order phases.
  4. Assess manufacturing welding, PWHT, and testing procedures from vendors.
  5. Oversee welding electrodes, site welding inspections, and maintain welding reports.
  6. Provide guidance to QC engineers, NOT coordinators, and project teams on piping matters.
  7. Participate in quality meetings as required.
  8. Report and document NCRs related to the project.
  9. Follow up on close-out statuses and maintain records.
  10. Monitor and report KPI status.
  11. Contribute inputs to weekly and monthly quality reports.
  12. Coordinate with ADNOC site Quality Piping representatives as needed.
  13. Ensure proper collection and storage of project records.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned by the QA/QC Manager.
