Job description

Responsible for managing a fabrication bay start from receipt of production drgs lot, preparation of monthly / weekly schedules based on the shop monthly plan, job distribution among down the level reports & workforce, streamlining raw materials & production work flow, organising the required resources, implementation of best fabrication practices for the improvement of safety, productivity & quality, coordination with all stack holders on day to day issues, progress reporting to meet the management objectives and project requirements.

JOB SUMMARY (Major functions of the position)

  • Plans and directs activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products : Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation, utilizing knowledge in engineering fields such as chemical, electrical, or mechanical.
  • Designs devices sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
  • Establishes a program to evaluate the precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities.
  • Developed and implemented methods and procedures for the disposition of discrepant material and devised methods to assess cost and responsibility.
  • Directs workers engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability.
  • Compiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality control activities.

Requirements :

Minimum Experience of 03 Years in a Fabrication Industry making Process Equipment.

MUST have knowledge and experience working with ASME and API Standards.

Shop Floor QC Experience is a MUST.

Visual, Dimension, NDT, and Making Reports Experience is required.

Must have Excellent Knowledge of MS Office.

Knowledge of compiling QC Dossier.

ANST Level II for NDT Certification

Education and Experience :

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3+ years of related experience and competency in computer software such as MS Office and MS Outlook is preferred.

Skills :

  • As the job nature has mostly the routine tasks, challenge is to accomplish the tasks with at most perfection in all aspects consistently to enhance reliability factor.
