Job summary

A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a QC Engineer-Civil for a site-based position in Abu Dhabi. Candidates should possess a civil engineering degree and at least 10 years of quality experience in oil and gas projects. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong coordination skills are essential. The role involves monitoring quality procedures, assisting QC inspectors, and participating in quality meetings. The position is contracted for 24 months, with an expected start date as soon as possible.

Qualifications

  • Minimum qualification is an undergraduate degree.
  • 10+ years in quality roles, with at least 8 years as a QC Engineer in oil and gas projects.
  • GCC work experience with approval from ADNOC is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor implementation of the Quality Plan and quality procedures for Piping.
  • Review Material Requisitions and Purchase Order documents.
  • Attend quality meetings and maintain project NCR register.

Job description

We are looking for a QC Engineer- Civil for one of our clients with the following details:

Location: Abu Dhabi UAE (Site based)

Expected Start Date: ASAP

Contract Duration: 24 months

Qualification and Experience Required:

  • Minimum Qualification: Undergraduate
  • Certification Required: Bachelor of civil engineering degree / ISO 90001 internal auditor
  • Relevant Experience: 10 Years min years in quality roles, a total experience of min 8 years as a QC Engineer in oil and gas projects
  • Language Preference: English
  • GCC Work Experience: Experience & approval from ADNOC (preferred)
  • Software Knowledge: Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications
  • Other requirements: Strong coordination skills, Fluent English lingual skills, Problem Solving, Ability to produce Quality written reports/ good command in project quality auditing

Services Description

  • Monitoring implementation of the Quality Plan and quality procedures requirements related to Piping throughout the project
  • Review Material Requisitions and Purchase Order documents related to Piping discipline. Review vendor documents during the Pre order and post order stage
  • Review manufacturing welding, PWHT and other testing procedures from vendors
  • Monitor the control and issue of welding electrodes, Control of QC site welding inspections, maintaining welding reports. Ensure NOT requirements are complied with as per the Project requirements
  • Provide guidance and support to QC Inspectors/NOT Coordinators/Project team on all Piping related matters
  • Attend quality meetings as required, report and maintain project NCR register and follow up close out-status, monitor and report KPI status.
  • Inputs to the weekly and monthly quality report
  • Liaison with ADNOC Site Quality Piping representatives as required
  • Ensuring that the project records are properly collated and stored
  • Other duties as assigned by the Project QA/QC Manager
