Position Summary:
The QC Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing quality control processes, procedures, and systems to ensure the consistent production of high-quality products. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements, particularly in the sheet metal fabrication industry, including stainless steel products.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or similar); additional certification in Quality Management is a plus.
  2. Proven experience as a QC Engineer, preferably in the sheet metal fabrication industry, mainly in the stainless steel sector.
  3. Knowledge of EX Proof of QAN/QAR Process.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and implement quality control processes, including inspection, testing, and documentation procedures.
  2. Establish and maintain a quality control system to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  3. Collaborate with other departments to integrate quality control measures into their processes.
  4. Analyze quality control data, identify trends, and provide insights to improve processes and address quality issues.
  5. Lead root cause analysis investigations to identify the underlying causes of quality issues, defects, and nonconformities in sheet metal products.
  6. Execute product testing activities, including conducting physical, mechanical, and functional tests on sheet metal components and assemblies. Prepare detailed test reports, documentation, and technical summaries summarizing the results of product testing activities.
  7. Document test procedures, observations, findings, and recommendations for future improvement or corrective actions. Communicate test results effectively to cross-functional teams, management, and stakeholders.
Authority:
To approve or reject material/finished products based on quality standards.
Special Responsibility and Authority for Ex Product and System:
  1. Collaborate with third-party testing laboratories and certification bodies accredited for IECEX and ATEX certification to coordinate compliance testing activities for sheet metal products.
  2. Ensure that sheet metal products intended for use in explosive atmospheres are appropriately marked and labeled with Ex markings in accordance with IECEX and ATEX directives.
  3. Maintain accurate documentation of testing procedures, test results, and certification records for sheet metal products undergoing IECEX and ATEX compliance testing.
Minimum Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in instrumentation engineering, preferably in a production or manufacturing environment. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in quality inspections, data analysis, and documentation.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or related field required. Master's degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., Certified Instrumentation Professional) preferred.
