Job summary

Parsons in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Materials / QAQC Engineer to lead QA/QC activities for road and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with ADQCC standards and project specs. You will coordinate sampling, testing, documentation, and close-out with engineers, contractors, and site teams, promoting HSE compliance and proactive quality control on site.

The successful candidate has a Civil Engineering degree and 7+ years UAE experience in QA/QC, a solid grasp of construction materials, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field).
• 7+ years QA/QC and materials inspection experience in the UAE, preferably on road/infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, inspection/testing and QA/QC practices.
• Strong documentation, reporting and coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams.
• Working knowledge of ADQCC, SMART HUB requirements and other authorities.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain QA/QC plans, procedures and site quality controls for marine and infrastructure activities.
• Review and process material submittals/approvals and verify delivered materials meet specifications.
• Coordinate and witness sampling and testing (field and lab) and ensure results meet criteria.
• Conduct inspections/audits, raise NCRs/observations, and follow up corrective actions to closure.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and site teams to resolve quality issues and prevent rework.
• Maintain QA/QC records, inspection logs, test reports for close-out and handover.
• Promote compliance with HSE requirements while executing QA/QC on site.

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Material / QAQC Engineer to join our Construction Supervision team in Abu Dhabi. In this role, you will lead materials QA/QC activities for road and infrastructure works, ensuring compliance with project specifications, ADQCC standards, and quality requirements through proactive inspections, testing coordination, and documentation.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Implement and maintain the project QA/QC plans, procedures, and site quality controls for marine and infrastructure activities.
• Review and process material submittals/approvals and verify delivered materials comply with approved submittals and specifications.
• Coordinate and witness sampling and testing (field and laboratory) and ensure results meet acceptance criteria.
• Conduct routine inspections/audits, raise NCRs/observations, and follow up corrective and preventive actions to closure.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and site teams to resolve quality issues and prevent rework.
• Maintain complete QA/QC records, inspection logs, test reports, and documentation required for project close-out and handover.
• Promote compliance with HSE requirements while executing QA/QC responsibilities on site.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related equivalent discipline).
• Minimum 7 years of QA/QC and materials inspection experience in the UAE, preferably on road, CT, and infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, inspection/testing requirements, and QA/QC practices.
• Strong documentation, reporting, and coordination skills; able to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Must have strong working knowledge of ADQCC, SMART HUB requirements, and other authorities' requirements.

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:

• Relevant QA/QC certification(s) (advantage).
• Experience working in construction supervision and supporting client approval processes.
