QA/QC Manager

Our Tier 1 Main Contracting client has a new requirement for a well experienced QA QC Manager to join their team in Dubai to work on high profile Interior Fit Out & Civils projects in the Emirates. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a QA QC Manager on major interior fit out and civils projects in the UAE and have worked in the capacity of QA QC Manager for a recognised main contracting company previously. This role is available for immediate joining and is an initial 3-6 Month Contract as an outsource employed by J10 Consulting. There is an option to transfer to staff after 6 months to suit all parties.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement project-specific QA/QC plans.
2. Conduct regular site inspections and audits.
3. Manage all QA/QC documentation.
4. Ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
5. Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
6. Identify and resolve quality issues.
7. Prepare and present QA/QC reports.
8. Lead & Mentor QA/QC Engineers and Inspectors.
9. Review and monitor material specifications and quality standards, workflow, processes, etc. and recommend adjustments if needed in order to comply with the company policies, client and statutory requirements.
10. Conduct and coordinate regular inspections, making sure also that work, products and documentations are prepared prior.
11. Address quality issues on an immediate basis and coordinate with concerned personnel and discuss the measures to be taken to minimize quality risk.
12. Preparing and reviewing all inspection reports for compliance.
13. Prepare and regularly (weekly) submit reports and maintain QC records.
14. Prepare QA/QC Performance Reports weekly, monthly, and annually, non conformance trend Analysis, remedial actions, and submit to Employer.
15. Ensure that the approved Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) and Method Statements are implemented on site and the particular hold points required are coordinated with the Project Team.
16. Review QA/QC organization.
17. Conduct Quality or technical compliance audits for Contractor, Sub Contractor or Vendors.
18. Review QA/QC Procedures and ensure implementation is in compliance with agreed requirements.
19. Review Inspection, Test, Plans and ensure compliance with agreed requirement etc.
20. Monitor the progress and effectiveness of the project quality management system. Recommend and implement improvements when required.

QA/QC Manager Experience:

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
2. 7-10+ years experience in Main Contracting Quality Assurance and Control - at least 2 in a recognised UAE Main Contractor.
3. Proven track record of managing teams of engineers and inspectors in QA QC processes.
4. Strong knowledge of construction quality control processes.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
7. Experience working with inspection agencies and regulatory bodies.
8. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
9. Certifications in quality control, such as ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or Six Sigma Black Belt, are beneficial.
