Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager to oversee and manage all quality assurance and quality control activities for a high-rise tower project in the UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing project-specific QA/QC plans, ensuring compliance with international standards and UAE regulations, and driving a culture of quality throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the QA/QC plan for the tower project in accordance with ISO standards and project specifications.
- Ensure all materials, workmanship, and construction activities meet required quality standards.
- Lead and manage the QA/QC team, including engineers, inspectors, and document controllers.
- Review and approve method statements, ITPs (Inspection and Test Plans), material submittals, and shop drawings.
- Coordinate and conduct site inspections, audits, and surveillance to monitor compliance.
- Ensure proper documentation and traceability of all QA/QC records, including inspection reports, NCRs, and test results.
- Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) and oversee the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Liaise with the client, consultant, and subcontractors to resolve quality-related issues.
- Coordinate with laboratories and third-party agencies for material testing and inspections.
- Monitor QA/QC KPIs and prepare regular reports for project and senior management.
- Provide training and guidance to site teams on quality control procedures and standards.
- Ensure handover documentation is complete and meets client and authority requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in QA/QC roles in the construction industry, with at least 3 years in a managerial role on high-rise or tower projects.
- Strong knowledge of UAE construction codes, ISO 9001, and QA/QC practices.
- Experience with tower structures, concrete works, finishing works, and MEP coordination.
- Excellent knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and technical standards.
- Certification in ISO 9001:2015, Lead Auditor, or relevant QA/QC programs preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
