Job Description

Responsible for all Mechanical Quality inspections, carrying out construction activities with approved quality documents and drawings.

Responsible for the preparation of all types of WPS, PQR, and WQT as per organizational and project requirements. Maintain welders' records and update all welding work-related logs.

Report on all site activities on a weekly and monthly basis to the Lead QA/QC.

Job Responsibilities
  • Implement project quality plan requirements and comply with client quality requirements.
  • Develop and implement inspection and test plans for project activities.
  • Prepare method statements related to mechanical works and follow up on their implementation at site.
  • Carry out quality control inspections as per approved ITP with associated check sheets.
  • Maintain quality documents in compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
  • Forecast inspection requirements and available resources prior to starting inspection activities.
  • Raise RFIs to the client for quality inspection of project activities.
  • Report non-conformities of products and services to the quality manager.
  • Monitor the implementation of corrective and preventive measures to ensure ISO 9001 compliance.
  • Prepare all types of welding procedures, including SMAW, GMAW, and GTAW, along with PQRs, WQTs, and related quality procedures and method statements.
  • Prepare brazing BPS, BPQR, BQT as per ASME Section IX.
  • Conduct welder qualification tests as per ASME Section IX, API 1104, etc.
  • Ensure calibration of all welding and site equipment, maintain logs regularly, and share updates with end users.
  • Check weld joint preparation, fit-up, alignment, and dimensions according to drawings and project requirements.
  • Liaise with the construction team on quality compliance requirements.
  • Ensure all inspection checkpoints are fulfilled as per the approved ITP.
  • Maintain quality documentation and submit dossiers to the client prior to project completion.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (B. Tech) in Electronic and Instrumentation or Electrical and Instrumentation.

Additional Information

Good knowledge of QMS, excellent communication skills, E&I inspection skills, customer-focused approach, and proficiency in MS Office.

Ability to multitask across disciplines.

Previous approval from ADNOC for onshore and offshore jobs.
