Job Title: QA/QC Inspector Reports To: QA/QC Manager
Position Objective:
- Ensures that all construction activities meet the required quality standards and comply with contractual specifications, codes, and regulations. This role involves inspecting and verifying materials, workmanship, and processes to ensure the highest quality of construction and adherence to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular inspections of construction materials, workmanship, and finished work to verify compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Conduct tests on materials and components, such as concrete strength, welding quality, and soil compaction, to ensure they meet required standards.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and quality control activities, including documentation of non-conformance issues and corrective actions taken.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive inspection reports and quality documentation to project managers and stakeholders.
- Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure that all construction work adheres to quality and safety standards.
- Verify that construction activities comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Any other duties as assigned
Job Specification:
- 5+ years’ experience in construction, managing quality assurance/quality control functions is required.
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Deep understanding of construction quality standards, codes, and industry best practices
- Proficiency in various inspection methods and tools, including non-destructive testing.
- Strong analytical skills to identify defects, deviations, and root causes of quality issues.
Ability to prepare clear, concise, and comprehensive inspection reports and documentation.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks, manage inspection schedules, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in maintaining organized and accurate records of inspections, test results, and quality control activities.
Education and Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline or equivalent job experience required.
