Job description

Join to apply for the QA / QC Engineer - Mechanical Engineering role at Bureau Veritas North America.

This position is within the Building & Infrastructure (Construction) department, reporting to the Head of the Department - B&I.

Minimum Required Qualifications
  • Specialty in managing QC engineers of various trades and disciplines
  • Fluent in English; Arabic speaking preferred
  • Strong technical reporting skills in English
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering; postgraduate degree preferred
  • Lead Auditor certificate in QMS ISO 9001:2008 or higher
  • Development training in QA/QC management; project management training preferred
  • Familiar with FIDIC contracts and Project Quality Plan (PQP)
  • At least 8 years of QA/QC management experience in construction, preferably with consultants
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement Project Quality Delivery Plan
  • Review contractor quality submissions for compliance
  • Conduct surveillance on construction activities
  • Guide and support the quality department and engineering staff
  • Monitor and close non-conformances
  • Report quality performance in meetings
  • Ensure implementation of the approved PQP
  • Inspect works according to drawings and specifications
  • Attend technical meetings and manage IRs and team operations
