Job description

Job Responsibilities
  1. Conduct inspections of incoming materials including civil, structural, paint, and chemicals.
  2. Issue Material Inspection Reports (MIR) to customers in coordination with PE/SE as required.
  3. Coordinate third-party material inspections following the Inspection Test Plan (ITP) and record all inspection reports in the server.
  4. Perform site surveys, both visual and dimensional.
  5. Inspect civil, structural, steel bridge, lift, and pedestrian bridge maintenance works.
  6. Coordinate with surveyors for inspections when necessary.
  7. Conduct on-site paint inspections, including visual, dry film thickness (DFT), and RAL colors.
  8. Perform final inspections and Job Method Statements (JMS) in coordination with PE/SE, involving customer and consultant representatives.
  9. Represent quality assurance in all site inspections with the consultant and client.
  10. Handle any other inspections required by the client or directed by the QA/QC Manager.
Document Management
  1. Develop Inspection & Test Plans aligned with Method Statements, project specifications, and international standards.
  2. Create checklists and inspection forms/templates, adhering to client templates when applicable.
  3. Review method statements based on project specifications, work activities, and client/consultant comments.
  4. Review material and sample submittals in coordination with the project team.
  5. Maintain logs and records of all quality submittals in coordination with the document controller.
  6. Prepare training needs analysis, coordinate internal and external quality trainings, and maintain certification records.
  7. Keep records of all quality inspections, both internal and third-party.
  8. Ensure familiarity with project specifications, requirements, and relevant international standards.
Quality Management Systems
  1. Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) for non-conformities exceeding limits, whether internal or subcontractor-related.
  2. Record lessons learned and maintain logs.
  3. Assist in developing project objectives and periodic monitoring.
  4. Calibrate measuring instruments and maintain calibration logs.
  5. Assist in subcontractor audits and evaluate subcontractors.
  6. Participate in monthly QHSE meetings.
  7. Support the safety, health, and sustainability culture of the company.
  8. Promote and support company policies and objectives, ensuring IMS requirements are met.
  9. Follow instructions from the QA/QC Manager.
  10. Possess certifications such as NACE, BGAS, or FROSIO (or equivalent).
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from a reputed university.
  2. Minimum 8-10 years of experience in the infrastructure industry, specifically in bridge construction projects in the UAE.
  3. Valid UAE driving license.
