Job summary

Al Marfaa Road Contracting is seeking a QA/QC professional with civil construction experience to implement and enforce the project Quality Management System (QMS) and PQP in line with ISO 9001 and project specs.

The role involves overseeing ITPs, material submittals, on-site inspections for earthworks, asphalt paving, and sewerage works, coordinating lab testing, managing NCRs and CAPA, and conducting subcontractor audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) from an accredited university.
• 2–8 years of hands-on QA/QC experience in roads, highways, drainage and sewerage construction.
• Deep understanding of civil construction standards (AASHTO, ASTM, BS EN) and local infrastructure specs.
• Experience with asphalt mix designs, concrete quality control, and soil stabilization.
• Certifications: ISO 9001 Lead/Internal Auditor or CSWIP/AWS preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail on site and in documentation.

Responsibilities

• Implement and update the Quality System Plan (QMS) and PQP aligned with ISO 9001 and project specs.
• Review and approve Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements and Material Submittals; supervise on-site inspections.
• Coordinate and supervise field and third-party laboratory testing across site works.
• Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), track root causes and oversee CAPA to closure.
• Conduct quality audits of subcontractors, suppliers, and batching plants.
• Prepare monthly QA/QC progress reports for Project Manager and client consultant.
• Lead final inspections with consultants and authorities for handover and snag clearance.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) from an accredited university.

Experience: Minimum 2 to 8 years of hands‑on QA/QC experience specifically within roads, highways, drainage, and sewerage network construction projects.

Technical Expertise:Deep understanding of civil construction standards (AASHTO, ASTM, BS EN) and local infrastructure authority specifications.

Practical knowledge of pipe laying standards (GRP, HDPE, UPVC, VC) and trenchless pipe installation methods (microtunneling/HDD) is a plus.

Experience with asphalt mix designs, concrete quality control, and soil stabilization.

Certifications: Certified ISO 9001 Lead/Internal Auditor or CSWIP/AWS certifications are highly preferred.

Skills & Competencies:Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail on site and in documentation.Ability to interface confidently with clients, supervision consultants, and site teams.Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and quality documentation management software.Strong leadership skills to enforce quality standards without causing project delays.
