Job Description

1. Role Objective: To establish and develop a well-structured quality system to improve efficiency among project personnel, achieve higher quality standards, and enhance client satisfaction. To define, document, and publicize the AQC Quality Policy, ensuring it is understood and practiced at all levels of the company, fostering a quality-oriented culture at the site.

2. Detailed Roles & Responsibilities:

Operational
  1. Study contract documents and project specifications related to quality; coordinate with QA Engineer/Officer in preparing the project quality plan; follow up with the consultant/client for approvals.
  2. Prepare project quality management system documents such as method statements, ITPs (Inspection and Testing Plans), etc.; review material and technical submittals for compliance with contract requirements and best practices; follow up for approvals.
  3. Participate in conducting quality control inspections on site activities, workmanship, and received materials to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
  4. Audit and inspect subcontractor materials, plant, and works being executed, fabricated, or manufactured on or off-site.
  5. Control all non-conformance reports (NCR), ensure corrective actions are taken, analyze root causes, and implement preventive measures.
  6. Issue Corrective and Preventive Action Requests (CPAR) for all NCRs and ensure their closure.
  7. Develop and maintain QA logs/trackers on-site and maintain calibration registers.
  8. Ensure inspection of quality samples/mock-ups aligns with project requirements; maintain proper traceability for future reference.
  9. Attend and conduct project quality meetings with subcontractors and construction teams to integrate quality considerations into work plans.
  10. Visit laboratories to ensure proper testing and inspection of materials; verify that measuring tools and testing devices are calibrated and suitable for use.
  11. Support the QHSE Manager for all site-related audits, both internal and external.
  12. Prepare weekly/monthly QA/QC reports.
  13. Maintain archives of quality testing and inspection records such as concrete pouring, cube testing, curing, inspection requests, calibration certificates, lab test reports, etc.
  14. Ensure all project records are identifiable, retrievable, and secure; assist the site document control team.
  15. Provide technical quality training and awareness sessions to project team and contractor personnel as needed.
  16. Carry out snagging inspections during project finishing phases and follow up for closure.
  17. Prepare project handover documentation/deliverables under guidance from QA/QC Manager.
People Management
  1. Assist in training and developing personnel in the QA/QC department.
  2. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
