Job summary

Responsibilities

• Conduct internal quality audits and prepare associated reports.
• Issue Non-Conformance Reports and ensure corrective actions are executed.

Job description

We are looking for a QA/QC Engineer with solid experience in the interior fit-out and construction industry within the UAE market. The candidate will be responsible for implementing quality assurance and quality control systems and ensuring that all project work complies with relevant standards and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Project Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and Method Statements.
• Monitor daily site activities to ensure work is executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Inspect incoming materials to ensure compliance with approved specifications.
• Coordinate and conduct internal quality audits and prepare audit reports.
• Ensure that all QA/QC documentation, site inspections, and test reports are properly maintained and archived.
• Liaise with project managers, consultants, and clients for inspections and approvals.
• Issue NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and ensure corrective and preventive actions are taken and documented.
• Prepare and submit QA/QC reports and assist in the preparation of project handover documents.
• Supervise subcontractors to ensure quality compliance.
• Attend technical meetings and coordinate quality-related issues.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in QA/QC roles within the interior fit-out or construction industry in the UAE.
• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Knowledge of UAE quality standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
• Familiar with ISO 9001:2015, local municipality guidelines, and project quality systems.
• Excellent knowledge of fit-out materials, finishes, and construction techniques.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to document processes and findings clearly.
• Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and QA/QC tracking tools.

Preferred:

• Experience in high-end retail, hospitality, or commercial interior fit-out projects.
• Certification in ISO 9001, QA/QC, or related standards.
• Knowledge of local authorities’ inspection procedures (Dubai Municipality, DCD, etc.).
