Job summary

Core Laboratories seeks a QHSEQ Supervisor for the Middle East to manage and coordinate health, safety, environmental and quality functions across the region. The role may oversee a small team and reports to the location manager.

Ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of HSEQ experience, strong knowledge of policies, fluent in local language and English, and a valid driving license. Travel within the ME region is expected.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement HSEQ program for assigned location in compliance with corporate and local HSEQ rules.
• Ensure that the organization's HSEQ program complies with customer requirements.
• Maintain regular contact with customer and industry HSEQ personnel to factor in new developments.
• Plan, implement and conduct comprehensive HSEQ training for location employees.
• Maintain all necessary certification/accreditation requirements.
• Conduct accident/injury investigations and assist in hearings and investigations.
• Regularly inspect facilities to detect hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Provide information and signage to warn of hazards and prevent access to hazards.
• Assist with fire drills and disaster planning.
• Lead HSEQ meetings and assist other locations as directed.
• Assist in assuring compliance with the organization's quality system.

Summary

The QHSE Supervisor for the Middle East manages and coordinates the company's health, safety, environmental and quality function in accordance with corporate policies and procedures to meet the company's business requirements for the Middle East. Issues and provides HSEQ reports to the manager and regulatory authorities. Acts as an advisor towards manager regarding HSEQ matters. May manage a small team, depending on location

Duties & Responsibilities

• Create and implement HSEQ program for assigned location in compliance with corporate and local health, safety, environmental, quality (HSEQ) rules and regulations.
• Ensure that the organization's HSEQ program complies with customer requirements.
• Maintain regular contact with customer and industry HSEQ personnel to ensure that new developments/requirements are factored into the organization's HSEQ protocols.
• Plan, implement and conduct a comprehensive HSEQ training program for all location employees to ensure that they are fully knowledgeable in the organisation's safety & environmental policies and procedures
• Maintain all necessary certification/accreditation requirements
• Conduct accident/injury investigations and cooperate in the preparation of material and evidence for the organisation's use in hearings, lawsuits, and insurance investigations
• Regularly inspect the organization's facilities to detect existing or potential accidents and health hazards, determine corrective or preventative measures where indicated, and follow up to ensure measures have been implemented
• Provide information, signs, posters, barriers, and other materials to warn of potential and actual safety hazards and to prevent access to hazardous conditions. Ensure that all pertinent HSEQ notices are posted correctly and updated as necessary
• Assist with fire drills and disaster planning
• Lead the company's HSEQ meetings and assist other locations/facilities / BU's / departments as directed
• Assist in assuring compliance with the organization's quality system

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 5 years of HSEQ experience
• Knowledge of the company's HSEQ policies and procedures
• Good verbal and written knowledge of the local language and English
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
• Advanced computer skills (MS Windows, Word, Excel, company systems)
• Valid driving license and satisfactory driving record.
• Knowledge about the ME region.
