QA Engineer- Banking

We are seeking a highly skilled QA Engineer with strong experience in web automation and API testing to join a leading enterprise programme within the banking sector.

This is a hands‑on role requiring deep expertise in modern automation frameworks such as Playwright with TypeScript, along with strong knowledge of API automation and quality engineering best practices. You will play a critical role in ensuring application quality, performance, and reliability across digital platforms.

Candidates must be immediately available or on short notice.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain web automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript
• Execute end‑to‑end automated test scripts for web applications and digital platforms
• Perform API automation testing, ensuring integration reliability and performance
• Develop and execute functional, regression, and integration test cases
• Work closely with development and product teams to ensure quality‑first delivery
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation
• Identify defects, track issues, and support resolution across the SDLC
• Contribute to test strategy, framework improvements, and automation best practices
• Support validation using tools such as TestGorilla (web automation assessments) where applicable
• Ensure compliance with banking domain quality standards and regulatory requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 7–12+ years of experience in QA and test automation
• Strong hands‑on expertise in Playwright with TypeScript
• Proven experience in web automation testing for modern applications
• Strong experience in API automation testing (REST APIs, tools such as Postman, etc.)
• Experience with test framework design and maintenance
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies
• Experience working in banking or financial services environments
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and automation integration
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration abilities
