Job summary

NMDC is seeking a Software QA Engineer focused on automation to design and maintain automated testing suites. You will also perform manual testing for critical features and collaborate with product/engineering to shape test plans.

The role emphasizes regression management and defect tracking to ensure smooth releases. Responsibilities include integrating tests into CI/CD, executing performance tests, and documenting test assets for internal and external use.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in software quality assurance, with automation focus.
• Experience with Python, JavaScript or Java for scripting.
• CI/CD experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI or CircleCI.
• API testing with Postman or REST Assured.
• Proficiency in Selenium, Cypress, Playwright or Appium.
• Basic SQL or NoSQL understanding for backend validation.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes or containerization.
• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or Gatling.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks and test suites.
• Perform manual testing for critical features until automation is ready, providing detailed feedback.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to develop test plans and requirements.
• Manage regression testing to ensure stability with each release.
• Identify and track defects with development teams to resolve issues quickly.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid releases.
• Develop and execute performance and load tests to evaluate stability.
• Write and maintain test case documentation, scripts, and procedures.
