Job summary

GDIT is seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to lead testing for software applications. You will design automated test scripts and frameworks, validate data across large datasets, and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.

You will also apply performance testing strategies and stay current with QA automation trends. The role requires 5+ years in software development or testing, strong TS/SQL skills, and experience with Playwright, JUnit, JMeter, TestNG, Xray, and relational databases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in software development and/or testing.
• Strong programming skills in TypeScript, Node.js, PL-SQL, or T-SQL.
• Expertise in frameworks such as Playwright, JUnit, JMeter, TestNG, and Xray.
• Experience testing relational databases like Oracle and SQL Server.
• Proficiency with Git and Jira.
• Familiarity with Jenkins and GitLab CI.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define testing scope and project requirements.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts, frameworks, and tools.
• Develop and execute detailed test plans for software applications.
• Create and manage datasets for automated and exploratory data-driven tests using PowerShell, Bash, or SQL.
• Validate data accuracy and consistency across large datasets and systems.
• Conduct exploratory testing and analyze results to identify and document defects.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement performance testing strategies to identify software bottlenecks.
• Utilize Generative AI tools and stay current with QA automation trends.
