Job summary

Good co India is seeking a senior Python backend architect to design scalable, secure systems and lead enterprise-grade applications across AWS/Azure/GCP. You will guide REST APIs, microservices and event-driven architectures, while mentoring engineers and aligning tech with business goals.

The role emphasizes cloud-native migrations, IaC, DevSecOps and performance optimization in a collaborative environment with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years of experience in Python development, backend engineering, software architecture or solution architecture.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Python and building enterprise-scale applications.
• Extensive experience with Django, Flask, FastAPI or other Python frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, distributed systems and event-driven architecture.
• Excellent understanding of OO programming, design patterns and software architecture principles.
• Experience with databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis.
• Strong experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ or similar messaging technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience designing scalable, highly available and fault-tolerant systems.
• Knowledge of cloud security, API security, authentication/authorization and DevSecOps.
• Experience with performance monitoring, logging and production troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of automated testing (Pytest) and code quality practices.

Preferred candidate profile
