At Ambassador International Academy, we combine the IB framework and philosophy with some of the world-renowned numeracy, literacy and scientific understandings of the English National Curriculum in our teaching and learning activities.

The teacher who has the expertise in both Literature and Theatre will be a suitable choice for teaching the course as the teacher is required to develop language and literature skills like close reading, analysis of text from multiple perspectives and critical writing as well as theater skills like practical aesthetics of theatre, transformation of text into realized performances while developing interdisciplinary understandings generated from the interactions between literature and performance.

What do we look for?

Due to KHDA regulations, we require our teachers to have the following:

• be a fully qualified and experienced Drama Teacher with a relevant degree and professional teaching qualification
• have experience of teaching, as well as a strong track record of successful academic outcomes (desirable)
• be committed to personal professional development and has relevant recent professional development that qualifies them for this role
• be able to use and promote a range of teaching and learning strategies
• have a robust knowledge, understanding and track record of raising standards in Drama
• be committed to collaborating with other staff members and building strong relationships
• be committed to safeguarding and child protection and the wider pastoral care of students in their care
