Purchasing Officer cum Inventory Controller

Urgently required for a reputed automobile spare parts trading company based in Jebel Ali Dubai, a male Purchasing Officer cum Inventory Controller. The candidate should have experience in procuring automobile spare parts and maintaining the inventory of the materials purchased. We do not need candidates having experience in warehouse inventory; we need purely for the procurement department. He should have a minimum of 5 years of working experience in the procurement department.

His responsibilities are as follows:

1. Identifying the procurement needs of the entire organization.
2. Managing direct procurement processes, including the purchasing or obtaining of raw materials, resources, goods, and services for manufactured goods.
3. Managing indirect procurement, including the purchasing of goods, services, supplies, and materials needed for daily operations.
4. Creating RFQs and overseeing competitive bidding cycles.
5. Managing procurement budgets, strategies, and payment processes.
6. Developing and implementing cost-effective procurement strategies and policies for the purchasing of raw materials, goods, and services.
7. Managing the procure-to-pay process, including requisitioning, purchasing, receiving, invoicing, and paying for goods and services.
8. Evaluating and strategically sourcing potential suppliers.
9. Devising initiatives to drive procurement performance.
10. Negotiating contracts with vendors to secure the best deals and terms.
11. Maintaining advantageous relationships with suppliers and managing disputes.
12. Monitoring supplier performance for optimal business operations.
13. Ensuring the timeliness and effectiveness of goods and services.
14. Forecasting to predict future demand for goods, services, and purchase requisitions.
15. Collaborating with internal departments to ensure procurement needs are met.
16. Finalizing purchase details and approving purchase requests and purchase orders.
17. Tracking key metrics and KPIs to reduce costs.
18. Analyzing procurement data, conducting spend analysis, and preparing reports.
19. Optimizing workflows and automation processes to save time and money.
20. Compiling reports for the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO).
21. Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and laws.
22. Incorporating new procurement software and e-procurement processes when necessary.
23. Leading the procurement department, including a team of procurement officers and other team members.
24. Developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
25. Monitoring industry trends and developments.
