About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Purchaser – MEP to manage the procurement of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing materials and services. The role involves sourcing reliable vendors, managing cost-effective purchasing, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining full compliance with project and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project-specific MEP material requisitions and BOQs
- Source and prequalify MEP suppliers and subcontractors
- Procure HVAC, plumbing, electrical materials, and related services
- Negotiate pricing, analyze quotations, and manage procurement budgets
- Coordinate closely with engineering, planning, and project teams
- Issue and manage purchase orders and delivery schedules
- Track deliveries and manage logistics to ensure on-time site availability
- Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure documentation compliance
- Utilize SAP-MM and support process improvements within procurement
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Mechanical preferred)
- Minimum 10 years of MEP procurement experience within the UAE/GCC
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical items and suppliers
- Proficiency in SAP-MM and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent negotiation, cost analysis, and vendor management skills
- Experience working within the construction industry
