Purchase Officer

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Purchase Officer to manage the procurement of goods and services for the company. Based in the UAE, this role ensures timely, cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality standards and supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities

1. Source and purchase goods, materials, and services required by the company
2. Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to secure favorable terms
3. Maintain and update the supplier database and ensure strong vendor relationships
4. Process purchase orders, track deliveries, and resolve any discrepancies or issues
5. Monitor inventory levels and ensure stock availability to meet operational demands
6. Prepare purchase reports and maintain accurate records of transactions
7. Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate procurement
8. Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, cost-saving opportunities, and trends
9. Ensure compliance with company policies, budget constraints, and legal requirements
10. Resolve supplier-related issues, including quality complaints, late deliveries, and invoice discrepancies

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
2. Minimum 2-4 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in the UAE or GCC
3. Strong negotiation skills and experience with contract management
4. Knowledge of inventory management and procurement software
5. Good understanding of local and international suppliers and markets
6. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
7. Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
8. Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with ERP systems is a plus
9. Fluency in English required; Arabic is an advantage
