Job Title: Procurement Officer
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a purchasing or procurement role (typically 2+ years).
- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques, as well as a good understanding of supply chain management.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and procurement software.
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company goals.
- Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Obtain and analyze quotes, negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to ensure cost-effective purchases.
- Issue purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
- Work closely with inventory and warehouse teams to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand and contribute to budgeting and cost reduction efforts.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, invoices, and delivery information.
- Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, service, and delivery timelines.
- Prepare procurement reports and documentation for audits or management review.
- Work closely with internal departments to understand procurement needs and specifications.
Work Conditions:
