Job Title: Procurement Officer

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a purchasing or procurement role (typically 2+ years).
  • Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques, as well as a good understanding of supply chain management.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and procurement software.
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company goals.
  2. Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors.
  3. Obtain and analyze quotes, negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to ensure cost-effective purchases.
  4. Issue purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
  5. Work closely with inventory and warehouse teams to ensure optimal stock levels.
  6. Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
  7. Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand and contribute to budgeting and cost reduction efforts.
  8. Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, invoices, and delivery information.
  9. Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, service, and delivery timelines.
  10. Prepare procurement reports and documentation for audits or management review.
  11. Work closely with internal departments to understand procurement needs and specifications.
