Job summary

A leading recruitment firm in Dubai is seeking a Purchase and Inventory Coordinator to manage procurement and inventory for a flourishing floral business. The successful candidate will oversee supplier relationships, maintain stock levels, and manage product catalogs on e-commerce platforms. Ideal candidates have familiarity with Excel, Shopify, and need to be immediately available in the UAE.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in purchasing, inventory management, or supply chain roles, preferably in retail or FMCG.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for data manipulation, forecasting, and formulas.
  • Knowledge of Dubai’s local flower supply markets and vendors is a bonus.

Job Title: Purchase and Inventory Coordinator

Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Up to AED4500

Job Overview

You will play a pivotal role in keeping our operations running smoothly by combining purchasing, inventory control, and product catalog management responsibilities. You’ll be the link between suppliers, internal teams, and the online storefronts.

Skills Required & Qualifications
  • Bonus: Knowledge of Dubai’s local flower supply markets and vendors.
  • Prior experience in purchasing, inventory management, or supply chain roles (retail, FMCG, floral preferred).
  • Strong proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets (data manipulation, forecasting, formulas).
  • Basic familiarity with Shopify or other e‑commerce platforms (training can be provided).
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Highly organized, proactive, able to multitask and prioritize under pressure.
  • Must be immediately available to join and currently based in the UAE.
Key Responsibilities

Purchasing & Supplier Management

  • Source and purchase fresh flowers, packaging, and accessories daily.
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers. Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms.
  • Explore alternative suppliers to ensure backup and competitive rates.

Inventory & Forecasting

  • Monitor daily stock levels of flowers, supplies, and supporting items.
  • Maintain accurate inventory logs / Excel / Google Sheets.
  • Forecast demand, identify shortages or overstock, and proactively flag issues.
  • Coordinate with florists and customer service to align supply with customer demand.

Product Catalog & Uploads (Shopify & Marketplaces)

  • Prepare and manage product data in Excel for uploads to marketplaces (e.g. InstaShop, Deliveroo, Talabat).
  • Upload and update product listings on Shopify: titles, descriptions, pricing, stock levels, images, etc.
  • Ensure data accuracy—coordinate with marketing, florists, and creative teams to obtain product specs, ingredient lists, and images.
  • Audit and refresh product content regularly to maintain quality.

Operational & Cross‑Functional Coordination

  • Generate and deliver daily/weekly purchasing, stock, and SKU reports.
  • Liaise with customer service to ensure online listings match real stock.
  • Work with management to refine workflows, systems, and performance metrics.
