As a Purchase and Inventory Analyst, you will leverage your detail-oriented skills to manage and optimize the supply chain operations within our organization. Your primary focus will be to analyze inventory levels, forecast future requirements, and ensure that purchasing activities are aligned with company objectives and market trends. You will work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to streamline procurement processes, reduce costs, and prevent product shortages or overstock situations. Demonstrating a strong analytical mindset and a proactive approach, you will contribute significantly to maintaining efficient inventory control and achieving financial goals. Your expertise in inventory management and purchasing will be vital in supporting business growth and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Analyze inventory levels and trends to forecast future requirements accurately.
- Collaborate with suppliers to optimize purchasing activities and cost efficiency.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure inventory levels meet production requirements.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to minimize excess stock.
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance to maintain quality standards.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on inventory status, including stock levels and turnover rates.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement in purchasing and inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal standards in all procurement activities.
- Utilize software tools to maintain accurate records of inventory and procurement data.
- Conduct regular audits to verify inventory accuracy and reconcile discrepancies.
- Support the procurement team in negotiating favorable terms with suppliers.
- Provide insight and recommendations for strategic sourcing and supplier evaluation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing and inventory management roles.
- Strong analytical skills with a proficiency in data analysis software and tools.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with suppliers and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize under tight deadlines.
- Detail-oriented mindset with the capacity for strategic thinking and problem-solving.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory management software is preferred.
