Job Description

1. PERSONNEL JOB DESCRIPTION

1.1. Organizational Relationships

1.1.1. Reports to: Reports directly to the Production Foreman/ Supervisor.

1.1.2. Coordinates with: The Internal Departments like machine shop, assembly line, painting etc.

1.2. Basic Function:

The Pump Technician understands the principle of operations of pumps and its parts and has the ability to troubleshoot systems with a complete understanding of standards and specifications. He carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable regulations.

1.3. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

1. The technician will have the ability to assemble/disassemble, clean and inspect various types of pumps and have a complete understanding of standards and specifications.
2. Measure and examine parts to ensure conformance to specifications using precision instruments such as micrometers, while working within demanding time constraints.
3. The ability to assemble, test, and prepare the pumps for final assembly.
4. Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines as necessary to machine parts as required.
5. Has the ability to read and understand blueprints, sketches, manuals, and other forms of documentation referring to item/part/equipment.
6. Great communication skills, both verbal and written.
7. The ability to articulate/convey both verbally and in writing information pertaining to ongoing jobs to the shop foreman.
8. Meet timeline and end dates on a consistent basis.
9. Available to work overtime as needed.
10. Maintain a clean and organized work area and maintain all equipment to like-new appearance, according to maintenance plans and established procedures.
11. Check the quality of your work prior to seeking a sign-off.
12. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, co-workers, and management.
13. Follow orders and directions given by the immediate superior.

2. SECOND PRIMARY PERSON IN-CHARGE

2.1. Basic Functions

The Secondary Primary Person acts on the assumption of responsibility of the exiting employee. His purpose is to maintain the standard procedures and daily tasks of the Department.

2.2. Primary Duties and Responsibilities

1. Responsible to review the hand-over sheet of the exiting employee.
2. Deadlines and status updates.
3. Key day-to-day activities.
4. All Asset Issued (if applicable).
5. Carries out a thorough checking of all relevant spreadsheets and files used by the Department.
6. Responsible to take over the work of the exiting employee to maintain workflow and not affect other connected Departments.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education:

A recent graduate of Secondary Education or High School Diploma.

Experience:

No experience necessary, all training will be provided.
