Job summary

Talentspoc is seeking an experienced Specialist Pulmonologist in Dubai to provide comprehensive diagnosis and management of respiratory conditions. The role emphasizes acute and chronic care, multidisciplinary collaboration, and high-quality patient care.

The candidate will conduct pulmonary consultations, interpret imaging and functional tests, and contribute to audits, teaching, and continuous medical education within a leading healthcare facility.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
• Postgraduate qualification in Pulmonology/Respiratory Medicine (MD/DNB/MRCP/Arab Board).
• 3+ years post-specialization clinical experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pulmonary diagnostics and therapies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive pulmonary consultations, examinations, and respiratory assessments.
• Diagnose and manage asthma, COPD, pneumonia, IPF, pulmonary hypertension and sleep-related disorders.
• Interpret chest X-rays, CTs, PFTs, ABGs and other tests; perform spirometry.

Job description

Our leading healthcare facility is looking for an experienced Specialist Pulmonologist to provide comprehensive diagnosis and management of respiratory and pulmonary conditions. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in both acute and chronic respiratory diseases, pulmonary function assessment, and multidisciplinary patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive pulmonary consultations, examinations, and respiratory assessments.
• Diagnose and manage conditions including asthma, COPD, pneumonia, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, respiratory infections, and sleep-related breathing disorders.
• Evaluate and manage patients with acute and chronic respiratory failure.
• Interpret chest X-rays, CT scans, pulmonary function tests, ABGs, and other diagnostic investigations.
• Perform and interpret spirometry and other pulmonary function tests.
• Perform or assist with bronchoscopy and other pulmonary procedures where appropriately trained.
• Manage patients requiring oxygen therapy and non-invasive respiratory support.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor treatment response.
• Provide appropriate management for acute exacerbations of asthma, COPD, and other respiratory conditions.
• Coordinate care with intensivists, cardiologists, thoracic surgeons, radiologists, and other specialists.
• Counsel patients regarding medication, inhaler techniques, lifestyle modifications, smoking cessation, and disease prevention.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure high standards of patient care.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, teaching, and continuing medical education.

Qualifications & Requirements

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
• MD / DNB / MRCP / Arab Board or equivalent recognized postgraduate qualification in Pulmonology / Pulmonary Medicine / Respiratory Medicine.
• Minimum 3 years of post-specialization clinical experience preferred.
• Strong experience in managing respiratory and pulmonary conditions.
• Good knowledge of pulmonary diagnostics and respiratory therapies.
• Excellent clinical judgment and patient-management skills.
• Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork abilities.
