We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Public Relations Officer (PRO) to oversee the public image, media communications, and government relations for a diverse group of companies. The PRO will play a key role in shaping the corporate identity, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering strong relationships with government entities, the media, and the public.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Government Relations & Legal Compliance
- Act as the primary liaison with government departments, ministries, and regulatory authorities.
- Handle all processes related to company licensing, renewals, visa applications, labor permits, and trade licenses.
- Ensure full compliance with immigration, labor, and company laws in the region of operation.
- Monitor regulatory updates and advise management on compliance requirements.
2. Corporate Communication
- Develop and implement a comprehensive PR strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
- Draft press releases, speeches, and other PR materials for internal and external distribution.
- Maintain a consistent brand image across all communication platforms.
- Serve as the company spokesperson when required.
3. Media Relations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international media outlets.
- Organize press conferences, media briefings, and interviews.
- Monitor media coverage and public sentiment; prepare reports and crisis management strategies.
4. Reputation & Crisis Management
- Manage the company's public image and respond to reputational issues promptly.
- Develop and implement crisis communication plans.
- Monitor social media and news outlets for potential issues and address them proactively.
5. Event Management & CSR
- Coordinate and manage corporate events, sponsorships, and community engagement activities.
- Oversee the planning and execution of CSR initiatives across the group.
6. Internal Communications
- Support the development of internal communication strategies and materials (newsletters, announcements, etc.).
- Foster a positive internal culture through effective communication campaigns.
Skills
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- Certification in public relations, media handling, or government relations is a plus.
- Arabic language proficiency (spoken and written) is often highly desirable in Middle Eastern countries.
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in public relations, preferably in a group or multi-business environment.
- Strong understanding of government protocols and experience dealing with public sector entities.
