Job description

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Psychology Teacher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons to IGCSE and A-Level students following the British curriculum. The teacher will inspire students to develop a deep understanding of psychology and support them in achieving academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Cambridge/Edexcel IGCSE and A Level Psychology curriculum.
  2. Use a variety of teaching methods to cater for different learning styles and abilities.
  3. Prepare students for internal assessments and external examinations ensuring they meet the required standards.
  4. Develop and update lesson plans, schemes of work, and teaching materials.
  5. Assess, record, and report on student progress regularly.
  6. Provide individual support and guidance to students, fostering critical thinking and analytical skills.
  7. Organize and participate in extracurricular activities such as psychology clubs, debates, and field trips.
  8. Stay updated with the latest developments in psychology and education to enhance teaching methods.
  9. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support student development.
  10. Maintain a positive and disciplined classroom environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology or a related field
  • Experience in teaching British curriculum Psychology (A Level & IGCSE)
