Job Description
· Conduct thorough psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations using a range of assessment tools and methodologies.
· Develop accurate diagnoses based on clinical interviews, psychometric testing, and behavioral observations.
· Create individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique psychological and emotional needs.
· Provide evidence-based psychotherapy and counseling to individuals, couples, and groups.
· Utilize various therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and interpersonal therapy, depending on patient needs.
· Conduct detailed clinical interview to facilitate planning of assessment protocols which take into account developmental issues, medical history, reasons for referral, as well as individual and cultural diversity
· Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed for effective outcomes.
· Educate patients and their families about psychological conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
· If necessary, apply appropriate use of cultural advisors and linguistic translators to ensure meaningful assessment and effective communication, as well as recognition of cultural factors which influence health and illness and response to treatment
· Provide support and guidance to help patients understand and manage their mental health issues.
· Work collaboratively with physicians, social workers, psychiatrists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
· Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to discuss treatment goals, progress, and any concerns.
· Prepare detailed reports and maintain accurate and confidential patient records, including assessment results, treatment plans, progress notes, and etc.
· Provide immediate psychological support and intervention in crisis situations, including risk assessments for self-harm or harm to others.
· Develop and implement safety plans as needed to address acute psychological distress.
· Stay updated with the latest research, best practices, and advancements in psychology and mental health care.
· Engage in continuous professional development through workshops, seminars, and other educational opportunities.
· Adhere to ethical guidelines and legal standards related to psychological practice in DOH/DHA/MOH
· Advise on the development of policies, based on various aspects of psychological theory and research.
· Ensure compliance with CMC policies, including those related to patient confidentiality, safety, and documentation.
Provide services to level licensure.
