Job description

The Protocol Security Officer is responsible to provide the necessary acceptable level of protection to delegations and high profile VIPs by implementing and enforcing the necessary security measures, managing access control in coordination with Assistant Director of Safety and Security/ Director of Safety and Security. This role also required to liaise with the Head of Government Relations during visits of delegations/ high profile VIPs and official functions and events, ensuring all protocols are followed and maintaining a secure and safe environment for all attendees.


What will I be doing?


As a Protocol Security Officer, you are responsible for monitoring and controlling staff entrances, patrolling on a regular basis, and managing undesirable behaviour to deliver a safe Guest and Member experience. A Security Officer will also be required to investigate theft and support evacuation procedures. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Plan and enforce comprehensive security protocols for delegations and high-profile VIPs, under the directions of Director/ Assistant Director of Safety and Security.
  • Support the Director/ Assistant Director of Safety & Security in liaising with law enforcement, agencies, and event organizers to ensure seamless security for the delegations and high profile VIPs.
  • Escort Delegations and high profile VIP guests and monitor their movements discreetly to prevent security threats.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • Act as a liaison between delegation security and local law enforcement if required.
  • The role required to handle challenging situations with discretion and professionalism.
  • Carry out any additional tasks assigned by the Director/ Assistant Director of Safety & Security.
  • Attend all safety and security trainings as required.
  • Support lobby operation and monitor the lobby for any suspicious activities.
  • Support the Director/ Assistant Director of Safety and Security in all matters related to the government if required.
  • Flexible working hours is required from the position based on operational requirements.
