Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a similar field.
  • Strong knowledge of International Codes & Standards such as ASME, API, ANSI, ASTM and BS.
  • Experience with Quality Plan and inspection reports review according to client specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Review contractual requirements, quality plans, and inspection documentation.
  • Coordinate inspections and ensure quality according to BV Quality System.
  • Maintain communication with clients and perform timely report submissions.

He is expected to establish direct contact with Client and other Bureau Veritas Contracting / Performing offices.

Minimum Required Qualifications
  • Specialty
  • Excellent communication skill in English
  • Shop Inspection coordination experience with Technical background
  • CSWIP 3.0/ 3.1/3.2 or AWS-CWI, ASNT Level II in RT, UT, MT & PT approval preferred
Education

Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or HNC

Training
  • Worldwide Shop Inspection coordination with good communication skill in English
  • Bureau Veritas Shop Inspection Guidelines
  • Technical knowledge

Responsibilities / Authorities
  • Review of applicable contractual requirements (Technical standards, specifications etc.)
  • Definition and review of Quality Plan and relevant procedures.
  • Review and validation of inspection assignment documentation (technical aspects, reference documentation, schedule, milestones, reporting, logistics, co-ordination procedure, etc.)
  • Definition of Bureau Veritas interventions
  • Send Instructions to BV performing offices along with Technical specification, Internal Purchase Order and contact details.
  • Coordinate with BV performing offices for scheduling inspection
  • Liaise with BV performing offices for Execution of inspection, reporting including treatment of non-conformities (NCR’s) and other applicable deliverables
  • Ensuring quality of inspection according to BV Quality System
  • Treatment of Non-conformities / corrective actions
  • Follow up with BV performing offices for submitting the reports on time
  • Review inspection reports for correctness and completeness and submit to Client on time for review and further action.
  • Maintaining internal and external communication
  • Review and Certify internal invoices for clearing payment
  • Promotes Bureau Veritas service portfolio to clients
  • Respects security guidelines of Bureau Veritas and safeguards personal security in the working environment
  • Actively participates in the sharing of knowledge and information (Knowledge Management)
  • Prepare monthly report and submit to Client on time for review and further action.
Technical Expertise
  • Application of codes and standards, project specifications and procedures
  • Within his field of competency, the inspector is expected to conduct the activities stated in Primary functions.
  • Fully conversant with inspection techniques and able to review reports
  • Able to verify and approve Non-conformities / corrective actions
  • Able to identify required Bureau Veritas interventions, based on a pre-defined Quality Plan and according to specified standards.
  • Able to review / appraise inspection procedures
Business Requirements
  • Report to Senior Shop Inspection coordinator about day-to-day work.
  • Report to INP Manager when there is an area of concern
  • Attend meeting with Clients as and when required and maintain cordial relationship with all Clients.

  • Maintains a high degree of expertise through permanent specialized training and knowledge management.
  • Meet project development objectives
  • Should be Results oriented, Service driven and Problem solving
  • Comply with company regulations, procedures and Code of Ethics.
Customer Focus
  • Ensure that Inspection is carried out as per Purchase order / approved drawings / Inspection test plans and other applicable Technical specifications.
  • Maintain regular job related contact with clients and Liaises with client and/or Project Management Consultant with ease
  • Understand client needs and work to achieve successful project outcomes.
  • Develop trust and open communication with the client.
  • Regularly monitor customer satisfaction by frequent visit to Client offices.
HSE Requirements
  • Comply at all times with all applicable legal requirements, BV Group HSE Policies and procedures, client’s HSE procedures and practices.
  • Maintain personal work areas tidy and hazard free and report any deviation/fault/hazard immediately to the location manager/line manager/supervisor
  • Report immediately any newly identified hazard and participate in devising suitable operational control to eliminate/minimize the pertinent risk.
  • Report immediately any HSE incident and cooperate in investigation
  • Use appropriate PPE in the work area and be aware of:
  • the risks appropriate PPE will control or minimize
  • Report immediately in case the PPE is worn off or lost.
  • maintenance and inspection arrangements
  • PPE replacement procedures
Performance Monitoring

Opportunities for improvement include attending specialized training courses and seminars, staying updated on shop inspection coordination developments, and monitoring KPIs such as report delivery time, report quality, customer complaints, inspection coordination timeframe, additional sales, and knowledge sharing.
