Job summary

TALENTS TIDE HUMAN RESOURCES CONSULTING is seeking a Head Technical Manager for construction projects in Dubai. The role leads the technical function, coordinating architectural, structural, civil and MEP disciplines to deliver compliant, buildable and efficient projects.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years in construction with strong leadership, excellent communication, and a solid UAE codes knowledge. BIM/Revit/AutoCAD experience is a plus for this senior office-based post.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or Structural Engineering.
• 12+ years of experience in construction/main contracting.
• Strong UAE construction experience preferred.
• Proven leadership in technical management (Head/Director level).
• Experience with BIM/Revit/AutoCAD is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Technical Department across multiple projects.
• Coordinate Architectural, Structural, Civil, MEP and other disciplines.
• Review IFC drawings, shop drawings, submittals and RFIs.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with UAE codes, regulations and contracts.
• Support constructability reviews and technical problem solving.
• Establish procedures, workflows and documentation standards.
• Mentor and develop technical engineers and draftsmen.

HIRING HEAD TECHNICAL MANAGER CONSTRUCTION Location Dubai UAE Industry Construction Main Contracting Work Type Full-Time Office-Based

We are looking for an experienced Head Technical Manager to lead the technical function for a well-established contracting company in Dubai This is a senior office-based position responsible for managing technical activities across multiple construction projects coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams and ensuring projects are technically compliant buildable and delivered efficiently Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the Technical Department across multiple projects Coordinate Architectural Structural Civil MEP and other engineering disciplines Review and approve IFC drawings shop drawings material submittals method statements and RFIs Lead technical coordination with consultants clients subcontractors and suppliers Identify and resolve technical issues before they impact construction cost or schedule Ensure compliance with UAE building codes authority requirements project specifications and contracts Review design changes technical proposals and value engineering opportunities Support project teams with constructability reviews and technical solutions Establish technical procedures workflows and documentation standards Monitor technical submissions approvals and design deliverables across projects Lead mentor and develop technical engineers coordinators architects and draftsmen Provide technical reports recommendations and updates to senior management Participate in tender reviews and provide technical input during pre-construction and planning stages

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Structural Engineering or related field.


• 12–18+ years of experience in construction / main contracting.


• Strong UAE construction experience is highly preferred.


• Proven experience in a Technical Manager / Head of Technical / Technical Director position.


• Strong experience with building construction projects, preferably high-rise, residential, commercial or mixed-use developments.


• Excellent knowledge of IFC drawings, shop drawings, RFIs, material submittals and technical documentation.


• Strong understanding of UAE codes, regulations and authority approval processes.


• Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary technical teams.


• Strong consultant, client and subcontractor coordination skills.


• Experience with BIM / Revit / AutoCAD is an advantage.


• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
