The ideal candidate is responsible for the planning, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery of engineering projects from inception to completion. The role involves coordination with internal departments, consultants, contractors, and clients to ensure technical and quality standards, timelines, budgets, and safety requirements are met..
Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Manager in managing project execution from design through construction and handover.
- Coordinate with consultants and contractors to ensure construction activities are in line with approved drawings, specifications, and project schedule.
- Monitor project progress and highlight deviations from the approved program, advising the Project Manager of potential delays and corrective actions.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and quality of works, ensuring compliance with design and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with the Finance team to manage project costing and cash flow planning.
- Coordinate with Finance for the release of payments to contractors, consultants, and vendors, ensuring technical verification of claims and work completion.
- Prepare and submit budget planning, cost forecasts, and cash flow requirements to the Finance team to ensure timely fund availability.
- Support the Sales Manager with technical inputs, unit specifications, and design information required for sales and marketing efforts.
- Maintain regular coordination with the International team to understand their specific requirements and facilitate implementation on-site.
- Review and manage technical documentation including shop drawings, method statements, RFIs, and variation requests.
- Attend and document progress and coordination meetings with all stakeholders.
- Support invoice verification and certification of completed works.
- Maintain up-to-date records of project correspondence, approvals, and reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience, preferably on the developer/client side.
- Skilled in MS Office, MS Project, Primavera.
- Experience in coordinating with consultants, contractors, and cross-functional internal teams including finance and sales.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of UAE construction regulations and procedures is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
