Job summary

AECOM is seeking a seasoned Project Director - PMCM to lead large-scale construction initiatives in Dubai. You will direct project strategy, manage multidisciplinary teams, and ensure delivery on time, on budget, and to high quality standards.

You will oversee risk management, client relationships, and contract administration while driving continuous improvement and value engineering. Fluency in English is essential; Arabic is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Construction Management or related field.
• PMP certification is required; PRINCE2 is a plus.
• 17+ years of experience in project management and construction management with a proven track record.
• Extensive knowledge of UAE construction industry, infrastructure, and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor multi-disciplinary project teams to foster excellence and continuous improvement.
• Oversee all project lifecycle stages from initiation to closeout within scope, schedule, and budget.

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Project Director - PMCM (Project Management and Construction Management) to join our team in Dubai United Arab this pivotal role you will lead and oversee large-scale construction projects ensuring their successful delivery on time within budget and to the highest quality standards.

• Develop and implement project management strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives
• Lead and mentor multi-disciplinary project teams fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
• Oversee all aspects of project lifecycle from initiation to closeout ensuring adherence to scope schedule and budget
• Manage client relationships and stakeholder expectations providing regular updates and resolving conflicts
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success
• Analyze project performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed
• Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors subcontractors and consultants
• Ensure compliance with local construction regulations safety standards and quality control measures
• Drive value engineering initiatives to optimize project costs without compromising quality
• Collaborate with senior management to develop business strategies and identify new opportunities

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in Engineering Construction Management or related field; Masters degree in Project Management or MBA preferred
• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification required; PRINCE2 certification a plus
• 17 years of experience in project management and construction management with a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale projects
• Extensive knowledge of the construction industry infrastructure development and local regulations in the UAE
• Strong proficiency in project management software (e.g. Microsoft Project Primavera P6) and advanced Microsoft Office Suite
• Expertise in construction management tools risk management software and financial management systems
• Demonstrated experience in contract management and stakeholder engagement
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate multi-disciplinary teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
• Proven ability to make decisive decisions in high-pressure environments
• International project experience preferably in the Middle East
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
