Duties and Responsibilities:
- Contribute to planning the projects of the General Administration of Customs in coordination with the Director of Project Follow-up and the Director of Strategic Development and Planning, and propose the stages of current and future projects (budget, project risks, feasibility studies) in order to analyze their viability and monitor their implementation.
- Provide new technologies and digital platforms/tools that can be effectively utilized, and support project managers in successfully delivering their projects.
- Coordinate with project managers in defining project goals, objectives, and key performance indicators.
- Train new and current employees on modern project management methodologies.
- Record and track progress across all work components, tasks, and risks to ensure deadlines are met.
- Prepare status and performance reports, and evaluate the performance of external consultancy firms in implementing project plans to ensure the efficient and effective achievement of project objectives.
- Coordinate with executive directors, departments, section heads, and external consultants to ensure the successful execution of assigned projects and the preparation of reports, while ensuring delivery within timelines, quality standards, and allocated budgets.
- Monitor the financial performance of projects and provide guidance to project managers.
- Follow up on the implementation of proactive risk management plans during project execution in alignment with the risk registers of the General Administration of Customs, without affecting operational or financial plans.
- Keep the project team and department director informed on the progress of the project and share studies and analyses conducted for decision-making regarding proposed adjustments.
