ISP Project Quantity Surveyor Role Profile

Purpose of Role

The Project Quantity Surveyor (PQS) will oversee pre- and post-contract cost and project management services, ensuring financial control and managing procurement strategies. The role involves working closely with consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project completion within budget and contractual obligations.

ISP Key Responsibilities

1. Deliver pre- and post-contract cost and project management services.
2. Ensure project management deliverables meet ISP standards.
3. Maintain effective communication and liaise with managers for financial control.
4. Review and monitor consultants and contractors; report to the Head of Projects.
5. Prepare and implement procurement strategies.
6. Manage supply chain appointments, reporting, contract administration, and liaising with stakeholders.
7. Manage tender processes, evaluate tenders, and handle claims and variations.
8. Collaborate with project teams for cost-effective solutions.
9. Produce and present regular reports.

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

• 5+ years post-graduate experience in cost management or quantity surveying, preferably in UAE.
• Knowledge of cost estimating and planning.
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to understand complex information.
• Proficiency in MS Office, PowerBi, or similar tools.
• Teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related.
• MRICS or working towards chartered status.
• Fluent in English, both written and oral.
