Job summary

Zarco is seeking a qualified and experienced Project / Procurement Marine Engineer to support marine and offshore projects. The role involves managing procurement activities, sourcing and evaluating suppliers, and ensuring compliance with project specifications.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Marine Engineering, at least 5 years of relevant experience, and strong knowledge of procurement processes and marine industry standards. This is a full-time position based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Project / Procurement Marine Engineer to join our team and support our marine and offshore projects.

Job Type : Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage procurement activities for marine projects and operations
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors
• Prepare technical and commercial evaluations of quotations and proposals
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment
• Monitor project schedules, procurement status, and budget requirements
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and contractual requirements
• Maintain procurement records and project documentation
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal departments to support project execution

Requirement:

• Bachelor's Degree in Marine Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within the marine, offshore, dredging, shipbuilding, or maritime industry
• Strong knowledge of marine equipment, materials, and procurement processes
• Experience in project coordination, planning, and execution
• Ability to prepare technical specifications, RFQs, bid evaluations, and procurement documentation
• Experience dealing with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors
• Good understanding of marine industry standards and regulations
• Proficiency in MS Office and engineering/project management software
• Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
