Job summary

NMDC Infra is seeking an experienced procurement lead for large-scale EPC construction projects in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will manage end-to-end procurement, develop strategies aligned with project schedules, and coordinate vendor selection and negotiation.

With a minimum of 15 years' experience in infrastructure and construction, and expertise in contract negotiation, the role offers an opportunity to drive procurement success in challenging environments. Strong communication skills and engineering background are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of procurement experience in infrastructure and construction projects.
• Strong experience in large-scale infrastructure or industrial projects (Desalination, Power, Buildings, Offshore preferred).
• Proven expertise in contract negotiation and vendor management.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement activities for large-scale EPC construction projects
• Develop and execute project procurement strategies aligned with project schedules and budgets
• Manage sourcing, tendering, evaluation, negotiation and contract award processes
• Coordinate with engineering, planning and project management teams to ensure material availability on time
• Identify and prequalify vendors, subcontractors and suppliers
• Negotiate commercial terms to achieve cost optimization and value engineering
• Ensure compliance with company policies, project requirements and local regulations
• Monitor supplier performance delivery timelines and quality standards
• Manage procurement risk and resolve supply chain issues proactively
• Prepare procurement reports, cost analysis and project updates for senior management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field
• Minimum 15 years+ of procurement experience in Infrastructure and Construction projects
• Strong experience in large-scale infrastructure or industrial projects (Desalination, Power, Buildings, Offshore preferred)
• Proven expertise in contract negotiation and vendor management
• Strong knowledge of international procurement practices and FIDIC contracts
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work in fast-paced project environments and manage multiple priorities
