Position Purpose:

The Projects Planner is responsible for leading the planning and scheduling functions across major projects to ensure they are delivered on time, within scope and within budget. The role involves developing and maintaining detailed project schedules, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and providing regular updates and forecasts to stakeholders. The Projects Planner will bring deep knowledge of projects control, scheduling tools and risk management practices. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication with team members and stakeholders to achieve project milestones.

Role Description:

• Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules for all phases of project life cycle (initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and closure).
• Manage progress and performance against project baselines and provide schedule variance analysis.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather and integrate scope, resource, and cost data.
• Lead schedule risk analysis and mitigation planning.
• Provide monthly reporting including dashboards, earned value metrics, and progress updates.
• Ensure alignment of project timelines with business objectives and resource availability.
• Participate in strategic planning, tender schedules and projects proposal efforts.
• Facilitate planning workshops and meetings.
• Drafting contractual letters: Addressing delays and protecting rights from the client.
• Preparing tender programs and execution methodology: For new project bids, Using appropriate tools.
• Developing detailed project plans and WBS: Using Primavera and weekly tracking.
• Resource scheduling: Ensuring strategic coordination among different trades such as Civil, MEP, Interiors, External Works & Finishes.
• Extensive experience in post-contract works of multibillion projects for major private and public sector clients in UAE.
• Monitor project progress: Make adjustments as necessary.
• Ensure compliance: All scheduling activities comply with company policies and standards.
• Mentor junior planners and support standardization of planning processes.

Job Specific Knowledge and Skills:

1. Proficiency in project management software: Such as Primavera P6 and MS Project
2. Strong understanding of projects controls, cost management and risk management.
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering projects, In project planning/scheduling or a related field.
• Relevant experience in project planning, preferably within fit out projects.
• Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Project and project management software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Preferred Qualifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
