Qualifications

Job Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Project Planner to support the planning and delivery of projects by developing schedules, tracking progress, and ensuring timely execution. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in project planning within industries such as construction, engineering, manufacturing, or infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor project progress and update schedules regularly to reflect actual performance.
  • Analyze critical paths and identify potential delays or risks in the schedule.
  • Generate progress reports, forecasts, and dashboards for management and clients.
  • Assist in preparing project plans, work breakdown structures (WBS), and resource histograms.
  • Ensure compliance with project planning standards and contractual requirements.
  • Participate in project meetings to provide updates and planning insights.
  • Support the preparation of extension-of-time claims or recovery plans when needed.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in project planning, preferably in construction, infrastructure, oil & gas, or MEP sectors.
  • Proven hands-on experience with Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
  • Experience working on large-scale or multi-phase projects is a strong advantage.

  • Strong knowledge of project planning techniques and scheduling tools.
  • Ability to analyze project data and forecast progress.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
  • Understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, PRINCE2) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP or PRINCE2 certification (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and delay analysis.
  • Familiarity with construction contracts (e.g., FIDIC) and claim preparation.
