Project Manager - Technical Banking

We seek a Technical Project Manager with experience in the Banking sector to support our UAE-based Bank clients.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders within the Program.
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies.
• Monitor project progress and adjust as necessary to ensure successful completion.
• Identify and manage project risks, dependencies, and constraints.
• Communicate project status, updates, and issues to stakeholders and senior management.
• Lead and motivate project teams, ensuring clarity of roles and responsibilities.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, industry standards, and best practices.
• Oversee project documentation, SIT & UAT following/reporting, and post-project evaluations.
• Ensure quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure that management is always informed of all risks, issues, and their status.
• Complete all phases of the software development life cycle including analysis, design, functionality, testing as per schedule.
• Knowledge of different software development methodologies like Waterfall, Agile.
• Incident management – Accountable for incidents, review, and ensure that the process is followed by the team and resolutions are in place to avoid similar incidents.
• Audit, security, and regulatory compliance knowledge.
• People management/interpersonal issues and staff motivation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, management, engineering, IT, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Project Manager in the banking or financial services industry managing the implementation and management of technological projects.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is a plus.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities, and lead cross-functional teams.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial project analysis is an advantage.
• Experience in managing and implementing various systems in the banking domain.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and constraints.
• Desired Qualifications:
• Strong understanding of banking processes, compliance, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with banking project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.).
• Proficiency in project management and MS Office suite, such as MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Experience

Overall experience of 10 years desired.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
