Department Definition:
The Short-Term Operation Planning Section is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of schools annual operational plans (readiness plans). This role involves coordinating with other ministry sectors, such as Curriculum and Facilities, and conducting studies to improve operational efficiency.
Main Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement short-term operational plans based on school needs and department goals.
- Coordinate the School Readiness Project, working with relevant stakeholders to ensure its efficient implementation.
- Manage the documentation of department processes to ensure accuracy and alignment with sector standards.
- Conduct studies to improve operational efficiency by taking steps such as:
• Merging schools where needed.
• Assessing school catchment areas to optimize student distribution.
- Track project timelines, resources, and progress to ensure tasks are completed on time.
- Identify potential short-term operational challenges and recommend practical solutions.
Skills
6+ years of experience in Experience in project management, planning, or strategy, ideally in an educational or operational setting.
- Bachelor s degree within a relevant field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work with data effectively.
- Preferred: Experience with project management tools and data analysis to support planning and decision-making.
