Responsibilities
  • Represent the client in all project-related activities ensuring design procurement and construction meet quality safety and contractual standards.
  • Oversee the review of engineering designs technical submittals and contractor deliverables.
  • Manage the project from the consultancy side coordinating with contractors consultants and stakeholders to ensure timely progress and compliance.
  • Monitor and report on schedule budget risks and overall project performance.
  • Provide expert advice on technical matters design coordination and construction methodologies.
  • Review and validate contractor claims change orders progress payments and contractual correspondence.
  • Facilitate coordination between different technical disciplines (civil electrical mechanical) involved in overhead lines substations and power generation systems.
  • Participate in project audits risk assessments and strategic planning sessions.
  • Ensure project documentation is complete compliant and properly archived.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelors degree in electrical engineering (Masters degree is a plus).
  • PMP certification or equivalent is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience managing power infrastructure projects in a consultancy role.
  • Strong understanding of international standards (IEC IEEE etc.) and transmission/distribution engineering practices.
  • Experience working with EPC contract or similar contract forms.
  • Proven track record in delivering complex multi-disciplinary projects in the power sector.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.
  • Familiar with project management tools and reporting platforms (Primavera MS Project).
