Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager specializing in HVAC systems for marine and offshore projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, design, installation, and commissioning of HVAC systems on marine vessels and offshore platforms. This role requires a deep understanding of HVAC engineering principles, marine and offshore industry standards, and project management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning and Coordination:
   Develop project plans outlining the scope, schedule, and resource requirements for HVAC projects in the marine and offshore sector. Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure project milestones are met.
2. HVAC System Design:
   Execute detailed engineering and design of HVAC systems for marine vessels and offshore installations, considering specific requirements and constraints of the marine environment. Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and regulations.
3. Technical Documentation:
   Monitor preparation of technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for HVAC systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Review and approve design documents generated by the engineering team.
4. Equipment Selection and Procurement:
   Ensure selection of appropriate HVAC equipment based on project requirements and specifications. Supervise teamwork with procurement teams to source, evaluate, and procure HVAC components and systems.
5. Quality Assurance and Control:
   Implement quality control measures to ensure HVAC systems meet design specifications and industry standards. Conduct inspections and testing during installation and commissioning phases.
6. Cost Estimation and Budget Management:
   Develop cost estimates for HVAC projects, considering materials, labor, and other project-related expenses. Monitor project budgets and expenditures to ensure cost-effectiveness.
7. Client Communication:
   Maintain regular communication with clients to provide project updates, address concerns, and ensure client satisfaction. Collaborate with clients to understand their specific HVAC requirements and preferences.
8. Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:
   Ensure that HVAC systems adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to marine and offshore projects. Implement and enforce safety protocols during installation and maintenance activities.
9. Commissioning and Handover:
   Oversee the commissioning of HVAC systems and ensure successful handover to clients. Provide training and support to client personnel for the operation and maintenance of HVAC systems.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
2. Proven experience as a Project Manager in HVAC systems for marine and offshore applications for at least 3 years.
3. Strong knowledge of HVAC engineering principles, marine industry standards, and relevant regulations.
4. Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.
5. Excellent project management and communication skills.
6. Familiarity with procurement processes and vendor management.
7. Ability to work in a dynamic and challenging marine and offshore environment.
