Project Manager | Major Sporting Event | Abu Dhabi

Salary: 30-35kAED p/month

Contract duration: 8 months (until end of year)

Location: Abu Dhabi, minimum of 3-4 days per week on-site

An exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering a world-class sporting event in Abu Dhabi. We are looking for a highly proactive Project Manager to represent the rights holder on the ground and drive key project activities.

This role goes beyond traditional project management. You will be negotiating with local authorities, selecting key partners such as broadcasters, managing vendors and engaging with high-profile stakeholders including VIP's and ambassadors.

What You Will Be Doing

• Acting as the primary liaison with the local delivery authority government officials and event partners
• Managing vendor negotiations and contract agreements
• Representing the rights holder’s interests in key meetings and decision-making processes
• Overseeing project execution and ensuring smooth coordination between stakeholders
• Handling high-profile relationships with VIPs government entities and commercial partners
• Be the on-ground lead for all projects related to the end-of-year event

Who We Are Looking For

• Experience in the events industry ideally in sports or large-scale public events
• Strong vendor management and spectator services knowledge
• Government entity experience in the UAE with an understanding of processes and collaboration
• Proven stakeholder management with the ability to work with senior executives and government officials
• Exceptional negotiation and problem-solving skills

Ideally, applicants will have their own freelance / contract visa, but this is not a requirement.

Contract duration: 8 months (until end of 2025), potential extension / permanent offer
