We are currently seeking a high-caliber professional to join our team as a Project Manager.

The Role

As a Project Manager within IWPB, your role will be to lead change initiation, design, and delivery, and you will be accountable for the successful delivery of both Technology and Business Change Programmes, ensuring benefits realization. You will operate comfortably with stakeholders at an executive level and engage and influence a wide spectrum of stakeholders and partners across HSBC.

Furthermore, in this role you will be required to:

  • Drive and lead programme delivery proactively, balancing scope, schedule, interdependencies, budget, and risks
  • Assist business stakeholders with decomposing complex business requirements into Epics and User Stories that can be delivered by Technology teams via respective backlogs with minimal cross-product coordination
  • Manage and support relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Drive and support the use of Agile methodologies within Technology teams (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Lean) in line with corresponding transformation frameworks at the bank
  • Support senior Project / Programme managers across all stages of the initiative lifecycle to deliver larger, more complex, high-priority Programmes & Projects
  • Lead and support the definition of staffing, resourcing, responsibilities, and schedules
  • Establish effective programme controls and procedures
  • Support the adoption of HSBC standards and work in alignment with the Change framework at all times
  • Manage and support the development and promotion of the technology portfolio and project management practices
  • Provide effective and comprehensive project reporting at local forums, and manage Program Artifacts
  • Set high expectations concerning quality and implement quality assurance processes
  • Report progress, issues, dependencies, and risks to steering committees and initiative leadership, making recommendations to influence decision-making to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realization
